Turning to the Holy Bible verses to overcome depression & anxiety.

bible verses to overcome depression

Overview

One of the indisputable facts about life is that it is full of ups and downs. There will be times when things will seem to be fine and there will be other times when some unforeseen circumstances will force you to nurse negative perceptions about life itself.

Depression is a psychological problem that usually manifests after you have experienced any unpleasant experience such as losing a loved one to an untimely death, losing a job, falling victim to some form of abuse, and so on. Also, depression may occur in women just after giving birth to new babies (‘baby blues’).

It is an unpleasant state of mind which could be really very devastating. When you are depressed, you feel hopeless and it seems that the whole world has nothing good to offer you again. Depression can affect every aspect of your daily life and can turn you into a very miserable individual. One of the ugly facts about depression is that many people do not know it when they are depressed.

Depressive moods are fueled by constant thoughts of the causative event, attempts must be made to eliminate these thoughts from your mind. How? Simply by thinking of and engaging in things that bring you peace and joy rather than remaining all alone in pensive moods.

Stands corrected

I have been extremely careful while writing these verses, not to do any fancy work with the holy writing and that they should remain in their original context as it is written in the Holy Bible. As I do not see any scope of taking leverage towards making any kind of mistake, please let me know if anything looks out of context in the comment section.
